Well she took the wrong approach because it’s not the gas stations that are the enemy… A gas station owner has no control over the prices. That’s all set by the oil companies. She should have set fire to the Exxon or Mobil headquarters building. That may have made some kind of statement. Not that I approve of such behavior, but it would have had a louder message than burning a gas station. As we all know, gas station owners make absolutely no money selling gas. They make money with the convenience store attached selling milk, food, candy, etc.

Actually, the gas station owners make a couple of cents a gallon on gasoline. They are able to raise and lower the rice because they have to when the their price goes up. You are right though, they make way more money on the convienance store than anything else. And if she really wanted to make a statement, she should’ve set fire to an oil refinary or something.

I remember some old people drove through our Panera bread in town a year or so back. But it was because they were old, not cuz they were protesting soup prices.
