When flying debris meets a glass door....

I was mowing a client’s lawn this morning and a peice of flying debris kicked up by the lawn mower or weed trimmer decided to impact the sliding glass door leading to the patio. Upon impact, it shattered the laminated portion of the glass pane (see pictures below).

So, to any aspiring landscaper, lawn service worker or homeowner on the forum, do be careful to move or cover any glass (or otherwise fragile) objects you don’t want to risk breaking before mowing in their vicinity.

Indeed. Although, that would be a very expensive artistic medium. I’ll probably spend 100-200 dollars to get it fixed or replaced.

They would still have to pay the deductible on the homeowner’s policy. In this case, that would amount to $500.00. It costs less to replace the damaged door privately than to file a claim.
