I hope they find the jerkwad that did this, and drop him off the Tobin.
I wish I’d had the chance to adopt this kitten, though I’m not sure the cat I have now would have appreciated another intruder to his kingdom. He’s already not speaking to me because of the baby lol. We brought her home the other day, he took one look at her, and literally turned his nose up and stalked off. He’s basically made under my bed his home now. He comes out to use the box and eat.
Anyway, back to the topic…there are no-kill shelters all over Metrowest Mass (Boston/Providence/Worcester/Manchester area). If you can’t care or provide for the animal due to the economic state of affairs, which some of the news reports are claiming as the reason for the ditching of little P.D., then take it to a shelter. Don’t frigging dump it in a post box.
The assistant GM of Long John’s firmly believes “the only use for a cat is to be squished on the side of the road.” Verbatim quote from him. Plus, I know plenty of rednecks who think it’s funny to microwave cats alive.
I’m not even going to look at the link. People that abuse animals and or children are the lowest of the low.
My wife thinks it’s odd that I can watch COPS, and all manner of programs which show adults getting beat up or worse, yet when the commercial for the Humane Society comes on showing abused animals I have to mute it, or change the channel.
Most adults bring the misery on themselves, but animals or children usually don’t.
Isn’t abusing animals a BIG sign of a potential serial killer?
I don’t condone animal cruelty. That said, I hate cats with a passion. Dropping one in a mailbox is dumb, to say the least, but honestly, props to anyone who takes an animal like that out of their house.
She likely was stuffed through the mailbox’s small opening and dropped several feet onto the mail below.
People who are cruel to animals should be severly punished, if you ask me, but this paragraph cracked me up. Just a couple of days ago I saw this video of a cat falling from the 20th floor of a building and just walking away, and they make it sound like the kitten almost didn’t survive falling a few feet…
I remember reading somewhere that cats have a non-terminal terminal velocity, which is pretty cool. It also means that higher falls are less dangerous than shorter.
