Where to begin- they’re coming to my hometown of Kent, Ohio on Thursday to protest outside my former high school, which I graduated in 1995 and to dishonor a soldier who died in Afghanistan. What they do is wrong, I’ve studied my Bible to see if what they say adds up. Plus, I’ve studied the ‘church’ recently and I find they are nothing more than a cult.
I read my Bible, and what I read does not add up to Fred Phelps’ beliefs. NOTHING adds up yet they still do their stuff. If not for a previous appointment, I’d be at my former high school with three dozen eggs, and ready to toss them at those asswipes. Sorry, I don’t mean to curse, but I am VERY PISSED right now.
I feel the guy who died, deserves more respect than what he will get with these idiots.
This just has rattled a lot of my nerves. I have a friend who is in Afghanistan and if she dies there- I don’t know how I’ll react. I’ve known my friend for YEARS. I’m doing my part by wearing my USS Nimitz cap for the next few days.
Sorry… I’m rather cheesed off right now that Westboro is coming to protest in my city. They have NO respect.
Well, I can’t react like I’d like to cause I have things I have to do. Plus I don’t want a record, had they come when university was in session, they’d be facing a hell of a lot of opposition from the university studients.
I just hope the Patriot Guard riders are thare tomorrow.
They were planing on coming to Cleveland last year, and one of the local radio stations played the soldier’s favorite song on the radio and asked everyone to just drive past with there radio up as loud at it could go. I do believe they gave up on that protest. It is people like Westboro Baptist who give Christians a bad name.
long answer it is possible to misinterpret in such a subtle way psalms and verse where the LORD grants military victory to his faithful and crushes militarily the rebellious, that it may not have been willful hate to start. more of a attempt to “educate”. from that as P1 it’s is Logically Valid (in the Classical Logic sense) to deduce that their belif is true if their conclusion is true.
I hear they might protest @ Ryan Dunn’s Funeral. I REALLY hope they think twice, cuz I guarantee Johnny Knoxville and Bam Margera would not allow that and they would get the fuck beat out of them. Although now that I think about it, I hope they do. I’d show them they aren’t welcome @ Funerals
