I know it’s a random thought but what I mean is there are a lot of actors that have another actor who is similar but not nearly as good an actor as the original.
For instance-
Jason Lee is a shitty version of Ryan Reynolds
Jimmy Fallon is a shitty version of Justin Long
Greg Kinnear is a shitty version of William Shatner (I didn’t think it was possible either)…
How many actors are like that?

Jason Lee looks and sounds almost exactly like Ryan Reynolds, he’s just far less funny.
Dogma is a good example of where he could have easily been replaced by Reynolds, he played the Demon controlling the three hockey kids.

I happen to think this theory is nonsense. I mean, the basis for comparison seems very arbitrary. Also, I’d personally take Jason Lee (in Kevin Smith films, at least) over Ryan Reynolds any day.

Well, I would accept the theory if the similarities were more numerous and the connections stronger. I can almost see Jason Lee and Ryan Reynolds, as both have played boisterous, slackerish characters. But Greg Kinnear and William Shatner??
