The value of 9/11 in cash.

Ok, whether one believes 9/11 was done by terrorists or by our own government through conspiracy, the fact remains that 3000+ people died that day.

This….this is an insult to that tragedy. I wouldn’t care if this was put on a million dollar bill and was made of solid gold shit out by richie rich, it’s commemorating a tragedy by putting a face dollar value on it.

I can’t believe they’d actually have the balls to say 9/11 is worth a shitty infomercial, a .99 silvered 20 dollar bill, and they’re excluding it from people, to just those who see the commercial or website.

Am I the only one who finds this a little heartless and extremely ballsy?

Yea, I like seeing stuff like this come out and see it on TV…like sometime last year I kept seeing this comerical for a coin that was to commemerate the Corvette, you had to spend like 30 bucks or something on this thing, but if you noticed the fine print, it was like….full legal tender in the country of Uzbeckistan…or something like that. It’s just stuff like this that cracks me up…you spend 50 bucks to get something at face value of 20, that’s only worth .25 cents!

I hadn’t looked at the site yet, so I didn’t get a good look at the item. I glad I didn’t buy it before I saw this thread. I collect coins and the like and thought it was kind of cool looking. I’m not going to buy it now.

Does anybody actually buy these things to use as money anyway? I’ve never seen the point of them in the first place, but I really don’t see why it really matters if it’s legal tender or not, since I’m pretty sure they’re only going to be used for their aesthetic value in the first place.

It’s charmingly tacky how it’s 20 because of 9+11.

Hadn’t even noticed that. So on top of the insults I think there are, lets add to that list an absurdly lame pun.

Somehow this whole thread reminds me of this classic HSN moment:

People selling cheap shit just to dupe the ignorant out of tons of money is just evil. To exploit 9/11 is even more evil, but remember now, these are one of a kind pieces (that are in a warehouse by the millions :P) .

I see the commercial for this every day almost. even if I had the money to buy it, I wouldn’t want it.

This is a slap to the face of all the people who either died or were injured in the events of Sepetember 11th 2001, Let alone the Public Saftey personell and the US military. These people should be sent woth our troops to see what real life is like. Maybe then they will quit trying to scam us.
