At his request, I have been asked to inform you that BabyButt is again quite ill and, as such, won’t be posting on the forum anytime soon.
He can still read replies that you post, so please do send him good vibes and well wishes. However, he can’t respond to anything at the moment. He’s very sick and is still learning to use the modified keyboard he recently purchased.
…
Sorry if this is in the wrong section. I figured it related to the community.
BB is out of the hospital now. It was a kidney infection. He’s getting better and is able to get around a little bit. He should be back up and posting in the next few days, hopefully.
Thanks to all of you that took the time to offer well wishes, I really appreciate it.
This is the first time I’ve been able to get up out of bed and into my wheelchair since I went back into the hospital.
Yes, kidney infections really suck. Dialysis is the most inefficient way to clean the blood, but when the kidneys shut down there is no other way.
The meds I take every day inhibit my immune system and make me more susceptible to infection, but I couldn’t function without them. So, I take care to make sure I wash my hands about 500 times a day (slight exaggeration). Once in a while something gets by me and then it’s time to take a trip to the hospital. I have to say that this is only the second time in my life that I’ve had problems with my kidneys though.
The new keyboard is the only reason I am able to type this, and I’m excited about that! It’s pretty cool and a lot easier to use. I bought the hard cover that lets me put my hands on the keyboard without pushing any keys. This saves a lot of energy! I have holes to push the keys through. I should have done this a long time ago. It’s still not as fast as when my hands are doing what they’re supposed to, but much faster than the peg on my wrist.
I hope to spend some time writing tomorrow, so you should see another chapter up within the next couple of days. I’ve been using a Sony E-reader to read the whole thing again while I was bed bound.
Once again, thank you all for your kind words and well wishes, it means a great deal to me.
