For the first time in years, I can’t wait for Christmas.
Oh, and it looks like they gave the Enterprise a facelift. It looks like they’re trying to reach a happy medium between the inspirational classic Constitution-class and the 1978 Constitution-Refit (without the aft slanting nacelle pylons), for those Trek fans out there who are as nerdcore about the ships as I am.
SIMON PEGG, is in Star Trek!! The guy from Shaun of the Dead & Hot Fuzz is doing a Trek movie!! That’s awesome!!
Nighthawk, I liked the refit design, NCC-1701-A style was great!!
I was hoping the next Trek film would’ve been a DS9/Voyager movie, though!! A end all battle with the Dominion, with an appearence by Riker with his new ship!!
I already plan on going to see this on Christmas Day. I have always been a Trek fan, and I wanna see it. I like you Icey wanted to see a DS9/Voyager movie with Riker’s ship, the USS Titan as well.
Still, I’ll take it. I saw the preview online at the official site last night at some point. I can’t wait to see it. I love Trek, and I am also fanatical about the ship designs. I also have my own Trek spin-off I play around in too.
I might go see it since it is a total remake of the frist star trek and since J.J. Abrams is at the helm. Also the teaser for it at cloverfield looked cool as hell.
Again he (J.J) makes me wait months for a movie that should kick ass.
Also is simon pegg the guy who played shaun and angel inshaun of the dead and hot fuzz?
This should be a good film, Fire… JJ knows what he’s doing. Already there’s some discussion on some Trek forums, but I am holding off on judgment til I see it on Christmas Day 2008.
I don’t do anything Christmas anyway other than sleep, so I plan on going to see it.
Not much of a Star Trek fan (though I don’t mind the ones with Patrick Stewart as the captain) but Simon Pegg is always excellent. I would recommend Spaced to anyone who likes him; it’s the television series that he and Nick Frost came to fame in and is basically Shaun of The Dead without the zombies. I understand that a lack of zombies can be a bad thing, but it’s still heartily humorous and definitely worth catching.
Unfortunately, Spaced isn’t out on DVD over here, which is the only reason I haven’t seen it yet >.< I guess I might be able to get it to work by switching the region coding on my DVD-ROM, but I can only do that so many times…
I doubt I’ll see this just for Simon Pegg (who in the world is he playing?), but if I did see it, that would be the reason.
Well, if you’re not adverse to a bit of piracy - and if it’s not even available to buy over there it seems fair game to me - you can find much of it here.
I know you said the actors name but I wasn’t sure if it was the skinny guy or the fat guy. Both of them were in both movies as pretty much the main stars. I just wanted to make sure it was the one I was thinking off but I din’t want to “google” (I use yahoo) it.
