Many of you (and I emphasize the word many), find Uwe Bolls work to be utter crap and you really wish he’d just stop making movies.
Well, here’s your chance if you didn’t know about it. He said 1 million signatures in a petition would get him to stop making movies. We’re over 200K so far, so lets keep it rolling people!

It’s a joke because we’re talking about a horribly awful director and making fun of him. I think that’s pretty funny, I didn’t take it serious at all.

In actual seriousness for what this thread is, I’d like to point out that he’s not just making horrible video games. He’s also creating a HUGE stereotype about what a common person would perceive a video game movie to be, whether good or bad. If he keeps making more and more, video game movies will eventually never happen again because everybody automatically assumes they’re crap.
Problem is, not all video game movies were crap. D&D 2 Wrath of the Dragon God, Silent Hill, Mortal Kombat 1, Final Fantasy 7 Advent Children, these are a few examples of at least moderately okay movies. Two of those movies came after Uwe Boll started making video game movies, and both were perceived as horrible movies before they even came out. So him making video movies is a bad thing not just for his movies but because of the negative externalities he causes.
Oh, and one more thing. Your idea that online petitions never succeed, bullshit.

All four of those are online petitions and had SOME effect on what it stands for, whether successful, or simply getting the attention of who the petition is for and having him/her consider it. For example, if there were no online petition, Tony Blaire might not have even considered the negative effects of Road Pricing, or rather, he might have ignored them. With this petition, he’s allowing a debate about it.

Only Video Game based Movies I seen are Super Mario Bros, Sonic the Hedgehog, Mortal Kombat 1, Street Fighter, R.Evil 1 and 2, and Final Fantasy 7.
As for Uwe Boll Movies, I only seen Bloodrayne which was bad but I seen worser movies then that.

But as said, not all video game movies are bad, and every bloody video game has the potential to become a good story for a movie, it’s simply people like Uwe Boll who the only thing he’s good at is calling other decent actors and directors retards.

A lot of people go to movies because of the colorful special effects, pretty explosions, and the random use of their favorite heavy metal band in the background. I guarantee you that the movie theaters will be PACKED when speed racer opens even though it looks like the producers, directors and writers all took a few dozen hits of acid and put a willy wonka video into a blender to come up with colors. (yes, I know that was an awful excuse for a visualization, but meh)

No I see your point, I know Uwe Boll’s movies can be considered good or bad depending on the person. I actually know people who like the sci-fi original movies Rock Monster and Blood Monkey, and if their threshold for shitty movies is that low they’d probably love bloodrayne. And yes, that is also my opinion.

Sad part about Uwe Boll movies is that there acutully worser then the old Ed Wood movies from the 50s. Later on Ed Wood movies where later turn in porns so I’m guessing in like 5 or 10 year, people well probably redit Boll movies by adding porn sences to them and pasting them off as cheap porns, so there is a future for his movies after all lol.
