I’m sure a few of you might want to make a detailed analysis and judgment of the whole debate, but for now, I gotta say Stewart is bitch slapping this guy up and down his own show.
This is one of those once in a blue moon arguments where Stewart doesn’t make jokes or snide comments, this is quite literally a serious debate and Stewart is friggin owning Cramer.
Cramer’s voice is actually quivering at this point.
I’d bet money that Z’s watching this right now as well.
And for all those that are watching it, is it just me or did Cramer go from somewhat calm to an actual pair of tears in his eyes? His eyes seem red, poofy, and teary right now.
If Stewart actually brought Cramer to tears, I think I may die from laughter.
Yeah, Stewart verbally pummeled the hell out of Cramer. While I think he blew this issue out of proportion and made it rather personal, all of his points seemed salient. Cramer, on the other hand, looked rather defenseless….but I didn’t detect any tears.
I’ll credit Stewart with keeping up on the issues, but the real reason I appreciate him is that he’s quick to remind people that he’s only a comedian and isn’t any kind of authority. If he took himself seriously, I’d probably get sick of him rather quickly. Contrast that with other entertainers (namely, those talk radio numbskulls) and their delusions of importance.
Jesus. Watching the Unedited version on www.thedailyshow.com and Cramer is still trying to fucking joke around at the end and you can actually see how pissed off Jon is, almost to a point where he wants to punch Cramer in the face for some of the shit Cramer’s saying.
Also I hate their website for reasons I don’t quite understand. It’s like it is blasting Roxanne by The Police every time I surf over… Long Story. Well, ok, it’s pretty short, but I’ve told it many times before.
Edit: Oh, I just noticed you didn’t name the main Comedy Central website… That is the one I hate. Still, I’m letting my DVR record.
