Skin care

I’ve been uncomfortable the past couple days after wearing diapers. I didn’t think I would get a rash since I don’t mess, but only wet them. I had to resort to using diaper rash cream. After my messy experience a few years ago using Desitin, I decided to choose another brand. It was called Butt Paste. It was the only other brand in the store.

I have to say that it doesn’t have the impossible to wash off hands feeling and I can wear the cream without needing to put on a diaper. (That’s the reason I needed diaper rash cream to begin with.) I was going to post this in venting anger, but this is an on topic post. Any comments and suggestions will be appreciated.

Re: Skin care

Not much I can suggest beyond what you’ve already done. I’ll just add that I know only too well how easy getting a rash is from wet diapers.

One recommendation though? Medical gloves are very useful for applying the cream so it’s less messy

Re: Skin care

Yeah, rashes happen if you sit too long in pee. Heck, just being sweaty down there for extended periods of time can chafe your skin and grow nasty stuff.

Re: Skin care

Hell, I get diaper rash and I don’t even wear diapers. 0.o try gold bond powder, it’s nice if you don’t want a pasty butt, but looks like you were doing drugs (badly) in the bathroom stall.

Re: Skin care

That stuff is like fire on your skin though!

Re: Skin care

Really? I like the tingle…

Re: Skin care

If you think it’s like fire normally, try being allergic to that shit…

Re: Skin care

If you are having issues with blemishing, soreness, etc… due to large pore structure (i have some of the same issues in general with my upper thighs and def. run into severe irritation if wearing/shaving the general crotchal region), I would suggest St. Ives blemish control.

Don’t worry the grit in it (think its some kind of shell so double check everything if you have any kind of nut allergies) is environmentally safe and doesn’t irritate to bad if it gets into a more sensitive area, such as the eye.

EDIT
Once the issues with soreness and hair follicle irritation begin to abate, you may want to look into post show/post shave skin care products that aren’t in the shaving isle. I suggest one of the various Eucarin or Cetaphil products, when applying make sure that the application site has been thoroughly dabbed dry.

As few general long care skin term tips.

  1. try to avoid scrubbing yourself dry when getting out of the shower, start blotting and dabbing.
  2. try to avoid taking ‘overly hot’ showers, start off with a warm shower for building lather removing general daily grim, go to like tepid warm and make sure you blast yourself with as cold of water as you can tolerate to close up the pore structures and firm/tighten skin. Yeah, I know cold showers suck.
  3. to avoid the appearance of overly greasy hair, try washing your hair with room temp water.

On a scale of ouch to I forgot to wipe that icy hot off my hands before using the restroom how bad are we talking?

Re: Skin care

I use A&D ointment when I get a rash. It’s kinda greasy feeling, but seems to heal me quicker than anything I have tried so far. I bought mine in the hospital style foil packets so it’s even easy to carry along with me in a pocket.

Re: Skin care

The Butt Paste worked. My skin is back to normal and I am feeling up to wearing diapers again. I also discovered baby wipes which are great when it hurts to use toilet paper.

Re: Skin care

Hell yeah, baby wipes are great.

As a working man, I find that I actually get rashes and chafing more frequently from sweating at work than anything to do with diapers.

My go to has been Destin, but I might give that butt paste a try.

Re: Skin care

Desitin is really messy. After using it, I had to wash my hands with that orange soap they sell at the auto parts store.

Re: Skin care

It is messy, but for me, it does the job.
But farts feel weird after you apply it.

Due to my work, I conveniently have a large quantity of Gojo on hand. Generally, just wiping my fingers with s cloth is fine.

Re: Skin care

I read your “but farts…” as “butt farts” and sat here wondering what other kind of farts are there? Lol

Re: Skin care

The smartass in me wants to ask how a female couldn’t know the answer but then I remember having to explain it in a different context to my wife in relation to a joke on South Park.

Re: Skin care

I’m really glad you responded before I did.

Re: Skin care

I really wasnt being serious. Im perfectly aware, I just thought it was mildly humorous that I thought he had specified where the fart came from…

Re: Skin care

I suppose, in context, I wouldn’t have any other type of fart.

Re: Skin care

I know, but someone would eventually ask and now they have to go and do some research with a starting point as I’m not going to just hand them the answer if they do ask

Re: Skin care

XD I forget there’s people on the Internet that don’t get jokes unless you insert lots of smileys. I can just picture someone googling “girl farts”

on the topic of skin rashes. Had to go to urgent care last night cause something I thought was a mild allergic reaction split open at work and got infected. I got a shot in the ass and get 3 days off work. Woo! I wanted time to write but not quite like this XD
