I see no proof the surge protecter was pluged into a outlet. Though someone could of got them badly if someone pluged it in.

They test stuff with switchs on the inside of stuff like blow dryers on the mythbusters. The whole thing failed and gave buster the shock of his life (enough to kill a human.) They placed him in a bath tub and droped a whole load of things in.

So its best to just not try it, no idea why anyone would.
