Has anyone else been getting random games added to their library recently? About an hour ago I noticed that several games have been added to my library and no idea why because I definitely didn’t purchase them and I never got emails about them.
Some of the random games that were added was the Konami Collector’s Series that contains the original Castlevania and Contra games, Hitman: Absolution, Eye of the Beholder (1,2, and 3 were all added) and also Postal and Postal 2.
None of those except the Konami ones are even ones I would have claimed if they were randomly free offers in the newsletter so WTF, GOG?
On a different note: Eye of the Beholder 1, 2 and 3? Niiiiiice. I wasn’t a huge fan of 1 and 3, but I don’t know how many hours I spent getting through EotB2 back in the early 90s.
Probably should have mentioned I checked that. The invoices show they were all added in the last month but nothing about the payment method. I did see something like that once before when they credited me a replacement game for one I had pre-ordered that was cancelled, but that definitely doesn’t apply in this case. I did finally hear back from support and they’re as confused by it as I am because the billing system’s version of the invoices is missing information too! I get keep them though. Guess I have to at least play them once now
Also need to save up to eventually buy the Metal Gear games that were added recently.
Mystery solved! I forgot that last year I had contacted support and asked them if they could merge mine and Clawdia’s libraries because she was deceased and it was a pain in the ass to switch between accounts. They just finally merged them. The payment info didn’t carry over for “privacy and security” reasons. Hence the broken invoices.
I just assumed they had decided not to merge them. No, it just took them 13 months to do it

June of 2019. There was a global announcement pinned to the top of the board for awhile. Considering the number of people who still ask about her death I’m guessing a lot of people missed seeing it though.
