PS3?

I am thinking of buying a PS3, but i don’t know very much about them. is it worth spending another 100 bucks to get the 80 Gig version, or should i just buy the 40 Gig? what exactly is the point of having memory? does it replace the removable memory cards that the PS2 use? any info would be appreciated. the reason im asking is because a friend keeps badgering me to buy one.

PS3?

If I remember correctly, the 40 Gig version can’t play PS2 games. So, if you don’t mind keeping your PS2 (assuming you have one, I guess) around to play older games, then the 40 Gig would probably be fine.

PS3?

i have a PS2 and i like the games i have.

PS3?

I would personally be very cautious about getting a PS3 at the moment. Sales of them are doing horrible and have been for a long time, that and there really aren’t any good quality games on it. You can read all over that though the graphics look good, the game mechanics and playability are just crap! That, and as Sony kept dropping the price of it, they kept having to take away from what it can do. So make sure you research all the difference between the models first. Me, I don’t own a PS3 or 360, but if I was going to go out and buy one…i’d but the 360 in a heartbeat over the PS3! I mean….put it this way. Currently the Nintendo Game Boy Advance (system prior to the DS) is still outselling the PS3!

PS3?

i just looked at the specs for each one(the 40G and the 80G) on playstation.com and it says that only the 80G one will play my old playstation 2 games.

PS3?

What games do you want for the PS3 anyway?

All I see are games with the numbers 3 or 4 behind them. When seen all of this stuff before, rachect and clank 4, devil may cry 4, Grand turismo 5 God of War 3, GTA4 (its 6 really).

I know its a bit hypocricitcal of me since I bought a Wii and got the new mario game but the gameplay is so much diffrent then any other mario game I ever seen.

Also all the new titles such as assains creed, left 4 dead, fracture are coming on ps3 360 and even PC.

But really I hate sonys gaming division right now. Its really not for the PS3 itself its just do to their prices and forcing blu-ray. Really I got a HDTV but I am fine watching movies in SDTV, they look good enough as it is. Sony is nothing but problems in my book.

But this is my view on the PS3 a very angry one at that.

PS3?

Not really, if you remember, GTA:London was an add-on game to the first GTA game!! As was Vice City & San Andres, to GTA:3!! So in the GTA world there has only been 3 games total!!

See, in Grand Theft Auto, on the Playstation, you went to all three cities; Liberty City, San Andres, & Vice City!! So when GTA: III, came out you were in one of the three listed, so they had to bring Vice & San Andres into the fold!! Which makes 3, Vice, & SA, one complete game!!

PS3?

GTA 3 vice city and SA only have minor connections to each other. Theyare all set in diffrent decades and very diffrent places. If they really were add ons they should of cost 20 dollars not 49.99.

well, im buying myself a PS3 today. My credit limit was raised to $2,750, so I figured I would buy it and a game or two. Plus, That will get my friend off my back. He has been badgering me to buy a PS3 for the past couple months.

PS3?

so, i bought a PS3 yesterday. Apparently, they have discontinued making the 80 GB one, so i bought the 40 GB. I guess ill just have to keep my old PS2, which i really didnt want to do, but oh well. i also bought Call of Duty 4 : Modern Warfare at my friend’s urging and it is awesome. the game os PS3 were well worth the $500 i spent. i also reserved a copy of GTA 4 the collector’s edition for when it comes out in April.

PS3?

They still got the 80 gig ones around. Best Buy however decided to quit selling them. Yet another reason to hate them, but really even the 80 gig can’t play all ps2 games either.

Did you also buy a HDMI cable for the PS3? Somehow sony dosn’t give out HDMI cables with a PS3, yet they gave me a HDMI cable with a DVD Recorder/VCR unit. Really the unit just upgrades the pctiure to 1080i the best it can but it still pretty much looks exactly the same to me.

So sony gives out a HDMI cable for pretty much a regular DVD player and VCR unit but not any PS3. That makes perfect sense.
