Just curious since I’ve recently got myself back into paintball, or what is now called “woodsball” if there were any other players here? I never was a fan of paintball in the speedball form, but now that it’s gotten into this military sim style game I can totatly dig it for some slightly obvious reasons
If you do play, I’d be curious to know what your marker of choice is and anything you might recommend. I’m currently running with my Tippmann x7 I’ve added on to and a few new toys on order.
The attached air cylinder is just for test purposes since my local supply was out of stock at the moment.
I played woodsball with a group of friends a few months ago for the first time. It was a blast. Just rental gear, so I didn’t pay attention to what brand the marker or anything was.
I played regular paintball back in the day, and I enjoyed it but I was always trying to make it more tactical and I hated the style of guns. So I moved away from the sport and happend to come across some pics a few weeks ago. Realized then things have changed alot in the last few years since I lost played! So now i’ve got myself getting back into it. I always had a blast before but that was if I wasn’t playing Xball or some crap. Now me and my buddies or some other people i’m meeting can go and play games that are just “spray and pray” and actually require thought to it.
That reminds me of being back in high school. Paintball was really popular then (2001-2003) and companies like Advanced Tactical Systems (ATS) had just begun making marketable, real-looking paintball guns for the general public.
My friends would make fun of me because the guns were too loud or looked too real, and said they would never work in what was a normal paintball senario back then. I was always curious why there had to be set game types and rules. I just wanted to go in total camoflauge and have fun in the woods… but that wasn’t cool then.
i played paint ball before and was looking to get serious into but then i wrecked my back so havent been able to play since. where did you get that marker, most of the ones i have found online all look a bit pants
