Odd question, Home Improvement the Show

Is it just me or is the humor a lot more dark and offensive in the earlier seasons than it is in the later seasons?

Random odd question, but I’ve been watching it everyday on Nick At Nite, and considering there’s 2 hours of it, it cycles through the first and final seasons pretty quickly, so I’ve noticed that the later seasons are more family like, but the earlier seasons seem rather like I said, dark and offensive at times.

Hmm, never knew Tim was a substance abuser. He was one of the few celebrities I’d never actually expect to do that.

On October 2, 1978, Allen was arrested in the Kalamazoo-Battle Creek International Airport for possession of 1.4 lb (.65 kg) of cocaine. He subsequently informed on drug dealers in exchange for a reduction in his sentence from a possible life imprisonment to three to seven years. He was paroled on June 12, 1981 after serving 28 months in the Sandstone, Minnesota Federal Correctional Institution.
