Nothing like another item locked up behind the counter
Well…for standard society, makes sense.
For us though, this just makes things a bit more difficult.
Nothing like another item locked up behind the counter
I just find it sad that society has come to this level of stupidity where things like formula and allergy pills need to be locked up, next thing ya know, the government will be trying to create a nation registry of people who buy and use formula…
Nothing like another item locked up behind the counter
It’s been locked up in the local CVS Pharmacy and Walgreens for awhile now.

Probably another move prompted by money-hungry lobbyists, not unlike the one that did the same to psuedophedrine.

Baby formula here in Appleton has been locked up in most area grocery stores since I moved here in 2002. It’s not because people are abusing it (like huffing spray paint). It’s because people steal it because it’s so expensive. And we all know the types that steal it. The single mothers with 10 kids from 10 different daddies. So yeah, it is sad that we have to lock things like formula up. I always hated buying formula when my child was in that stage because they treat everyone who wants it like a damn criminal. Totally sucks that we all have to pay the price for the wrong doings of a few. But that’s the sad world we now live in I suppose. There’s a grocery store here (Woodman’s) that also locks up VANILLA BEAN sticks because they are $12 a stick and people were stealing them from the produce section. Now THAT is SAD.

Yep. That is the reason they have it locked up here as well. It’s expensive and people steal it.

Or by drug dealers that need to cut heroin or cocaine with said baby formula….

Yes, those are valid too types, too. I just listed one example. Should have included the others. Totally forgot about drug dealers. But yeah, still very sad.

The story actually mentioned drug dealers…
Nothing like another item locked up behind the counter
Yeah, the story did mention the drugs, which was something I never knew before.

This is from 2005………….

I knew the article was from 2005, but its only now that its happening around Colorado, which makes the article still relevant.

I don’t think they’ve done that yet here in Canada.
Nothing like another item locked up behind the counter
Because Canadaland don’t care.

Alternatively, Canada has rational residents…

That’s funny don’t you need a receipt when you return items?
I have not seen baby formula locked up before. I have always seen it in stores on the shelf. I guess they didn’t do that in Montana. They don’t do it here in Portland either.
