We’ve had just a bit of rain, thunder lightning, wind, tornadoes (not near me), and FLOODING. I had to make way through water in places 6" or more deep on my way home.
My drive home would have been easier if my car were a boat.
Is your home alright?
I hope the weather gets better soon.

6 inchs of water is dangrous. You really just don’t want the front tires to kick it back up in the engine.
Also BurningBlood how far did you ride in two inchs of water? I think my moutain bike would be able to handle it but once I wet into a muddy puddle on my Mt.bike and the tires got stuck in the mud. I fell with the bike but I was fine and only my pant ankles got wet/muddy.

Round near where I live there’s this lake that actually was caused from a WWII bomb crater. In summer at the centre it’s only just over a foot deep. We cycled through it once. It was dumb.
The problem wasn’t the water, but the mud at the bottom! Got passed the centre, but the way out wasn’t an especially steep slope and was murderously slippery. My bike (or I) couldn’t quite handle it. Got bloody messy and was late to go out that night.
There’s a lesson in there somewhere.

I wouldn’t want to ride my bike in two inches of water. I had to bike home when it was raining once, and the water from the puddles kept spraying up. When I got home the back of my trousers, and the bottom of my top was wet.

It’s all about mud guards…

Yeah I know. I don’t have any. My bike is old. I think I got it for my 12th or 13th birthday. I don’t have any money to get some, and don’t really want to spend the money anyway since I’m taking driving lessons again, so won’t need a bike as much once I’ve passed my test.

I ride my bike more than I drive now!
That’s partly the whole uni thing, but still.

Besides the fact that it is very cold, it almost looks like spring where I live. And I live in southwestern Michigan.
