This isn’t what has me upset but this new product and a friend of mine have lead me to some details as to how and where they get their products, and I’m not very happy about that.
So they get some of their products from a place called DK Enterprises which many people are linking to Deeker but this isn’t confirmed yet. Again, this isn’t the worst part, so hang on and I’ll give you the good….horrifying terrible stuff.
DK enterprises has a main website called Qualitydiapers, and well…I won’t link directly to the image in question but just take a look at the home page of the website-
Re: I am Boycotting ABUniverse for Contributing Pedophelia to Our Lifestyle
That is a bit creepy.
Legally, I don’t think there’s anything wrong, though. Child models are used for underwear and other clothing catalogs-- see http://www.tigerunderwearstore.com/ – they even have models wearing training pants and plastic pants on a website that caters to both children and adults.
I do think it’s slightly odd that the product is marketed like that, though. Realistically, if a child needed that kind of protection it wouldn’t be found in a diaper made to look exactly like a toddler’s pull-up. That seems in poor taste, if nothing else.
Re: I am Boycotting ABUniverse for Contributing Pedophelia to Our Lifestyle
I think part of what Jaclyn is upset about is the fact that the picture of the child in that diaper was used on the ABU website to show the product. They obviously don’t show the face, but the torso and the shadows are the same in both pictures. So effectively, a 12 year old torso is being used to show an adult sized diaper in a sense.
Re: I am Boycotting ABUniverse for Contributing Pedophelia to Our Lifestyle
There are several things in this world that aren’t illegal but are pretty damn awful.
Fast food happy meal advertisements aimed to attract kids, rolling up the windows of your car and lighting a cigarette with a child in the car, Dane Cook, etc etc.
Point is, this is the kind of crap I would expect people who see it to link pedophilia to ABDL. It’s the wrong image for people like us.
Besides, this isn’t an advertisement for a kid who simply needs diapers at that age. It’s an advertisement for a kid who enjoys wearing diapers at that age (considering the nudity and the toys that is), and that’s where it becomes really frigging shady and awful to see.
It may just be me but I don’t agree with this form of advertisement at all.
Re: I am Boycotting ABUniverse for Contributing Pedophelia to Our Lifestyle
I agree with you jaclyn, i think that the photo is pretty horrible. Like honestly its a kid entering his tweens wearing a diaper thats looks like a baby diaper and playing with toys that he is a bit to old for. If they were legitamitly trying to sell the diaper to kids of that age they would make it look as grown up as possible. I would bet that any incontinant kid would want to be seen as more adult than a baby. That photo is definately dodgy
Re: I am Boycotting ABUniverse for Contributing Pedophelia to Our Lifestyle
I personnally know the owner of a company called B4NS, and he once told me that parent of handicap children buy diapers like Bambino and ABU. Remember some handicap children have a the mind of younger and do not like diapers made for hold people.
I don’t anything about DK enterprise, but are you sure they are not a re-seller? maybe they don’t have anything to do with ABU.
Go easy on the witch hunting and make sure you have proof and that you know the hole story before you make some accusation that, I don’t know if you are right or wrong, but you do admit yourself you don’t have all the information. So maybe you should get those info before you start making accusation and not after.
Re: I am Boycotting ABUniverse for Contributing Pedophelia to Our Lifestyle
Well it seems they’ve replaced the stock photos on ABU which leads me to believe they wised the hell up. Unfortunately, because of their previous ties to deeker, their poor customer service, ridiculously expensive diapers that took six MONTHS to get down to a price that was barely reasonable, and now this bit of controversy, I’m with Kip.
I see no reason to ever purchase from them.
abdlmtl is technically correct. ABU is not partnering with Quality Diapers but rather Quality diapers is promoting a product on their site that ABU is manufacturing, making ABU the distributor. Unfortunately, it still doesn’t excuse the photography used in my book. ABU’s stock photo was the exact same as the quality diapers one with only cropping to edit out the face. It was identical to the photo of an eleven year old kid playing around in his diapers on quality diapers.
Many of you might say it’s not technically illegal and there’s nothing really wrong with it. I disagree, there may not be anything ILLEGAL about it but there’s certainly something very very wrong with it.
Fucking a tree, licking a bank, shaving a cat, marrying your mother, sucking on a bible, hiding in a bush, waking up drunk, farting on the president, punching a whale, and mailing a snake are all examples of things that may not be illegal but are still pretty weird if not fucked up.
Re: I am Boycotting ABUniverse for Contributing Pedophelia to Our Lifestyle
other website confirmed what Jaclyn said, I have to admit it look pretty bad. If it’s a mistake then it’s the second time, that company need to select there partner with better care
Re: I am Boycotting ABUniverse for Contributing Pedophelia to Our Lifestyle
Ok. The Quality Diapers site is just creepy. Why is the kid playing with toys? Why isn’t he wearing a shirt? If he was wearing a SHIRT it would be almost excusable. But…yeah. That’s creepy.
