Good god this is like the most kickass week thus far of 2009 for me.
I got paid a few minutes ago, I don’t have to work Ash Wednesday or Lent (think about the business of a fish restaurant on Lent for fucks sake), I just got a new KMFDM album (Blitz) in the mail and another KMFDM album (Skold Vs. KMFDM) is on it’s way, I have absolutely no homework from any of my classes or quizzes to study for, Wednesday Varya and I are gonna go see 3D Coraline, and she’s offered to teach me Russian.
I have a ton of homework, half of which I have no idea how to do because we had that substitute professor in Intro to Programming again last night and she didn’t teach us how to do it very well. Thank god for the programming tutors at school.
I meant This wednesday and Friday, which are the busiest days of the year considering Ash Wednesday and Lent. I have no idea what Lent actually is nor do I care.
I live in a predominately Emo/Goth/Punk town, and I know 1 catholic out of the 20-25 people I’m close to.
Ironically I had pancakes today myself, but not due to some holiday or religious day (as I had no idea what today was) but because I had recently bought Mrs. Butterworths syrup and will now never buy any other brand of syrup.
Even more Ironic, LJS has a special going on called “Skinny Tuesday” rather than Fat Tuesday, which is to promote healthy foods at a fast food restaurant (ha, good one). They’re handing out Mardi Gras beads to each person that orders a freshside item, but any beads leftover (aside from green ones for St. Paddies day) we get to divvy up and keep.
You’re lazy. Don’t care if learning russian is required for you or not, the fact that you wouldn’t even attempt it before judging whether it’s too hard for you is just pure laziness. Shows a lot about other things you might not attempt that say would be required for you to do, such as C++ or Java.
As for 'd’s and 't’s: Mardi Gras and Patrick gets shortened to Paddy.
Ah, okay. Pure ignorance is the reason, I didn’t realize it was spelled like that.
OK. First, you don’t know me outside of this forum, so you are in no position to judge what I consider hard and what I will or will not attempt.
Second, if I actually had a reason to learn Russian(For instance, if I was going to live in Russia for an extended period of time.), I might consider it. I do plan on learning Spanish because where I live we have a big population of people who speak Spanish.
On the plus side, thanks to my curiosity, I now know a random shit ton about Chernobyl. Tragic but interesting stuff.

Don’t care, you’ve shown enough of yourself to me that makes me think your lazy. And if you know me at all from any of my previous posts here or the other forums, you’ll know I’m stubborn as hell when it comes to my opinions.
Heh…well I didn’t want to make it seem like I’m blaming anyone. “Oh thanks, now I’m depressed because I looked up a word,” as that would seem kind of rude.
Actually, Vickie, that’s a very popular mix in Tanzania. Our tour guide loved mixing honey and peanut butter with oatmeal, and I’ve got to say, it was pretty awesome (not sure how well it would work with grits, but I guess it couldn’t hurt. I know you’re a girl of Southern sensibilities, and oatmeal is too Yankee for some people :D).
Also, the honey and peanut butter they have in Tanzania is some of the best I’ve ever had. Generally much fresher than what we have in the U.S. and fewer artificial ingredients/preservatives.
Good luck with Russkie. My Baboosh (grandmother, but I call her Baboosh, short for babushka) has been trying to teach me for well over 20 years now (since I was like 10 or so) and I still only know a few words lol. Uber hard language to speak, and blinking insanity trying to read (Cyrillic, I mean).
I guess if I took her up on her offer when I was a kid and go visit relatives in St. Petersburg (decidedly not the one near Tampa, which is what I thought she meant at first), I would have had more of an incentive to learn.
