ok well, basically a children’s tv host entered a song for the eurovision and won the tye to be Ireland’s representative at the eurovision. normally that would be ok but the presenter is a talking turkey and the song is terrible, this might be a better link, its the song being performed javascript:showPlayer(‘eurosong_av.html?2341206,null,228’)

ok im not sure if that link works properly. so if you use this link http://www.rte.ie/arts/2008/0223/eurosong.html
then go dwn to the bottom and select the video title # Eurosong 2008: Dustin the Turkey performs ‘Irelande Douze Pointe’

The song is terrible.

I’d say that anyone should be ashamed to be Irish, but actually, I think the Eurovision Song Contest couldn’t matter less. Not a jot.

In fact, this is the kind of shit it gets anyway. I hate the idea that the rest of the world judges us on it.

Vickie, the Eurovision Song Contest is a song contest which a lot of countries in Europe take part in. Each country gets one song. And then the other countries vote for which they like best through people ringing and voting. But a lot of countries tend to give higher marks to countries they like, or ones that they are near.

Ahhh…… William Hung. I have his CD. LOL I got it as a joke gift from a friend of mine after his American Idiot appearance a few years ago. He was the one that did She Bang.

My friend gave it to me cause I have a huge hatred of reality TV. That was the name of the guy Vickie, William Hung.

YES, he actually got a CD out of the deal.

I thought Ricky Martin did She Bangs?

The only point Eurovision really serves is comedy so why not? It will probably result in a few baffled Belgians (Belgians chosen purely for alliterative purposes) but that should add to the humour. I’m sure it will be more entertaining than whatever turgid nonsense Britain offers up at any rate.
