I realize that all AB/DL focused stories do not revolve around humiliation, but it is my favorite trope. I guess I’m kind of like a big immature teenager in that sense, even though I have my reasons for liking the trope–for one thing, it enhances the drama without putting the protagonist in danger and could lead to them learning interesting life lessons that are otherwise difficult to explore.
Anyway, I was just wondering if anyone knew of other fetishized or non-fetishized uses of the trope, because I kind of like watching my characters sweat when things start to go wrong and that prickly sensation of all eyes on them for the wrong reasons creeps up their skin.
