Woman having a meltdown at the airport because she missed her plane became a big hit on youtube. Her husband was just standing there all nice and calm.

It’ll turn out she just missed a funeral for a family member.

Did anyone hear about this?

Is that what the news said about her or is it just a rumor people were spreading on youtube?

I have read the article on a few different sites and none of them said anything about her going to see her dying sister or heading to a funeral. Only people on youtube said it.

Did anyone hear about this?

I just made it up. Just then.

Did anyone hear about this?

Seems like a popular thing to say about that lady.

Did anyone hear about this?

This is fucking hilarious! Awesome find.

Did anyone hear about this?

Now THAT is funny. Holy crap, that’s funny.

Did anyone hear about this?

LOL someone needs a nap.

Oh, crap, I just had a thought. In a few years, I’ll be dealing with this on a daily basis, won’t I?

I wonder if she’s autistic. That’s how they act when they meltdown, aspies and auties. I have acted that way during one but not like that where I’m on the floor. Of course not all meltdowns are crying and screaming. That is just the worse part of having one. I also thought it was funny.

Maybe she has an anxiety disorder or maybe she has some other mental condition that would cause those episodes.

OMG that’s hilarious.

She’s speaking cantonese, a chinese dialect spoken as the lingua franca in hong kong. I don’t really understand much of what she’s saying, but i think she thought she missed the plane and there was no replacement flight, leaving her stranded in hong kog. Then she has an argument with the guy (her husband) where she blames being late on him but the husband points out that it’s her fault.

rough translation:

Woman: (when she runs in) Wait! Wait!

(bounces off security, goes and bangs table)

W: (cantonese swear words equivalent in usage to OH MY GOD)

(W collapses on ground)

Man: (helping her up) Calm down, calm down…

W: (cantonese swear words equivalent in usage to OH MY GOD)

W: (rolling on floor in temper tantrum) my (jiu eng, don’t know what that means)

(Father helps woman to sit up)

F: Calm down, calm down!

W: (Sitting on floor) (cantonese swear words equivalent in usage to OH MY GOD)

After she stands up, i can’t understand the cantonese, but she’s screaming at the husband for ‘delaying her’ i believe. I think I’ll get my aunt to help me translate the whole thing if she’s free ^_^.

And she’s probably not autistic or anything like that. Sadly, this is pretty typical of spoiled chinese ladies who don’t get their way. I got yelled at like that once after I blocked a lady like that from cutting the queue in a taxi line - she just turned and started screaming at me. I just got into the taxi and told the driver to drive off.

Now I’m reading in the youtube comments, her dog was on the plane and her pills are 2,000 miles away. Oh my how funny people can come up with assumptions or whatsoever.

She did get on a replacement flight a few hours later as the article said. Why did she arrive there late? Who knows and where her luggage was.

People were saying on YT it was already on the plane and she had to stop and use the bathroom so she missed her flight.

I saw this, I don’t understand why someone would get upset as to why they miss a flight. It happens more times than I can count. One of my friends travels as a journalist, and there have been times he’s missed a flight, but he doesn’t get upset about it. IT HAPPENS.

I just don’t find the video funny. To me, I think the woman just went way overboard, and to quote Vickie, like a two-year old having a temper tantrum.

I’ve gotten that upset when I was in Mexico just because they lost our seat reservations so we had to wait and luckily there was stand byes so we were able to get on but we all sat in different seats. But when we got to San Diego, our seats were still reserved so it was just the computer system at that one airport in Mexico.

I didn’t act like that lady of course. I was just sitting in the chair crying and rocking and my dad said it happens a lot when you fly so I have to learn and get used to it and learn to expect it. Another reason why I hate flying. They tamper with your reservations.

There were a lot of disturbing comments on youtube because it just showed how ignorant people are. Some were understanding by saying she has some mental condition and some were both ignorant as they said she has some mental disorder. I think she does because no normal person would act like that and if they do, they have something wrong with them. I certainly don’t like having one but do I choose to do it? No. it’s embarrassing and I feel like an ass when I have one but thank god I haven’t had that kind of episode since September 2007. I had them more frequent when I was a teen because I got so much stress from people and my surroundings around me. My parents called them tantrums.

Lot of people don’t understand meltdowns so I do everything I can to avoid them. They think we decide “Okay I am going to have a tantrum, I am going to pretend I am stressed out and I feel I have been placed on another planet and everything has gone chaotic inside so I am going to cry and scream and shout and pace around to cause a scene.” But that is not what we do.

Like I said I would not arrive to an airport late. I arrive at least three hours early depending on how busy the airport is. In Spokane you can arrive there an hour early before your flight takes off. We’ve done it before. That lady did it to herself so her espisode was her own darn fault. If she did it here as I have read in the comments, she would have been tazered and arrested and taken to jail and maybe get charged for terrorism for saying she hopes the plane crashes whatever she said.

The subtitles are definitely incorrect. I think it was meant to be a spoof or something…

this one is more accurate.

Her dog and pills wouldn’t have been on the plane as they would have been unloaded when she failed to board.

Oops I posted the wrong video then. I should have watched it first to make sure it was the correct one but I thought it was the same one as last time.
