Blizzard of '08!!!!

Anyone else like me being affected by this monster?

Where I live, they are expecting 20 inches of snow by Sunday AM! I am only hoping I work, even if I have to trudge through a blizzard on my way to work.

The weather weenies here are going overboard and are hyping it up. Earlier today, we had six inches in SIX HOURS! WOW. Wonder how bad this sucker is going to be before it’s done.

Blizzard of '08!!!

For the first time ever, I’m going to wish against snow for here.

Blizzard of '08!!!

I want snow, I miss it so!!

Blizzard of '08!!!

Stay safe Chris.

Blizzard of '08!!!

Til this sucker passes I am not doin a dang thing except relax as best as I can and hope like HELL I am working tomorrow. I lost hours last week after my finger got sliced open.

This thing is as bad as the one we had last year. Maybe moreso. I plan on taking some pictures of the storm’s aftermath tomorrow or Sunday on my way to work. I can’t believe it. I was hoping that I would be spared from a bad winter storm because quite frankly, I can’t wait for winter to be over, and I am sitting at Progressive Field with a beer, heckling the Indians all game long.

I am tired of rain, snow and ice storms. We get it all in Ohio I guess.

Blizzard of '08!!!

I’m going skiing next week: love snow!

Hope you’re alright.

Blizzard of '08!!!

Just went outside to see how deep and bad it was. They closed where I work for the day because of this storm. I went out to the parking lot, it was almost knee-deep in depth and cars were stuck all over. Later tonight, I’m going to upload my pics I took.

WOW. They are saying this thing is as bad, if not worse than the 77-78 storm. This is even worse than the storm that hit last year around Valentine’s Day 2007. I think you all will be shocked by the pics.

Blizzard of '08!!!

As promised here are some pictures of the storm that I took with my digital camera.

That’s looking out to the parking lot in front of my building.

That’s looking out onto the campus. Did NOT stay out long. It was blowing snow, and snowing heavily. The last blast before the snow finally gave out.

Blizzard of '08!!!

It’s so pretty!

Blizzard of '08!!!

That doesn’t look so bad. :stuck_out_tongue:

Seriously stay in and stay warm. Once it stops, they should get it cleared up fairly soon.

(And remember that a blizzard can cause a Mayor to lose his next election.)

Blizzard of '08!!!

It could have anything to do with the fact Super Smash Brothers Brawl is finally out could it? lol.

coming down from oregon at the start of Jan. me and my dad had to drive throw this wicked storm that slamed the the northwest coast.

Blizzard of '08!!!

Snow storms are no fun. I am glad that tomorrow I will be working and that this sucker finally passed.

Some people obviously didn’t learn their lesson from the parking ban. I watched tonight some jackasses trying to dig out their car from a huge snow mountain. They must not have thought to heed to the parking ban.

It is so unreal how much snow I got this weekend. I took a yard stick out, measured 19 inches. It is probably deeper in other parts of the town, but wow. UNREAL. This storm was so bad, that the Ohio Governor told people not to go out unless they had to. That does not happen often here in Ohio.

Blizzard of '08!!!

We got something like 21 inches here in Buffalo from that storm.

Blizzard of '08!!!

Could always use some of that snow up here. We only got a few feet of snow this year up in Anchorage. Nothing compared to last year by any means! This year…we are already seeing breakup…warm temps have given way to melting snow. Hell, i’m even starting to see grass in some areas of my yard where I had kept the snow low in the first place. I’ve probably still got about 2-3 feet of snow in my yard where the sun hits, and a bit more in the shadows. Oh well, just looking forward to summer now, and longer days. Last year this time…I still had snow standing higher then my cars and about 3 feet collected on my roof before the housing teams finally came and removed the snow from our roofs by knocking it into our front yard. My front windows were a few of snow…and nothing else!

Blizzard of '08!!!

Snow sucks. That’s all I am going to say. It sucks.

It cost me money, cause where I work shut down because of that bastard storm. It cost me money after being hurt on the job in an afore-mentioned message. I was supposed to make up what I lost cause of that damn injury. But NO! Mother nature decided to fuck me in the ass.

This sumbitch cost me money and I do not like that. I HATE winter. My sister has told me she would help me find work in Phoenix, and I am seriously considering that cause I am sick of northeast Ohio winters and snowstorms that cost me money.

BabyChris121675

P.S. Before that sumbitch hit I was supposed to get back to my normal routine and I LOVE routines

Blizzard of '08!!!

Just a quick weather check over here: Britain has recently been rocked by winds strong enough to do absolutely nothing. Otherwise it’s been cool, but charmingly sunny.

Blizzard of '08!!!

Well I am happy to say that our snow is almost gone after today!! Yay! 52 degrees… Heat Wave:)

Blizzard of '08!!!

Mine is melting, it’s way down to what it was at 230am Thursday when I stumbled in from the bar after work. Only thing I had to be careful of was ice slicks that had formed in some areas on the campus. And no, I was not wasted, or drunk. I am always careful, ESPECIALLY if there is ice on the ground. LOL.

We’re down to maybe an inch or so, from 16-18 inches of snow. I am just glad it’s melting, and we are warming up here too. Forties today, and rainy unfortunately. I will take the rain over the snow any old day. The snow is melting, and I am hoping this is the last of it. I don’t need a repeat of last April, where I had Indians tickets for April 9th, and the game got snowed out. Hell, they lost an entire series at home because of the snow and had to move home games to Milwaukee’s Miller Park.

Blizzard of '08!!!

Yea, but it was under a contract. New housing….and the snow had got so thick that it was starting to damage the homes and water was leaking into the buildings. So the contractors came back out and sent people up on the roofs to clear some of the snow from the worst areas.
