Best store bought diaper?!?!

I dont do much online shoping as i dont like to so this leads me to wonder what do you belive is the best store bought diaper. The best pullup ive found are the tena discreet fit and the best tabs is the tena as well. What do you guys think.

Re: Best store bought diaper?!?!

All store-brand diapers suck once you’re tried better brands you can buy online.

That said, Depends, Tena, and the store’s brand are usually the only choices. Of those, Depends are decent. I’ve heard OK things about Wal Mart’s store brand, as well.

Look for a medical supply store in your area. I’ve heard they usually stock better diapers like Molicare or Abena.

Re: Best store bought diaper?!?!

Walgreens has some pretty good tape ups, and at a reasonable price. If you have one of those nearby i would suggest them… they were my staple for years when i could not order online.

Re: Best store bought diaper?!?!

The Walgreens/Meijer/Wal-Mart generic brand diapers are good in a pinch, and they’re roughly $10 for 20 (medium) or 16 (large). Meijer is the best place to get them, because Meijer has automated checkout counters, at least in my experience. Even if the attendant can probably see what exactly it is you’re buying, not having them right there to handle it and ring it up is a nice privacy placebo.

Re: Best store bought diaper?!?!

most walmarts have auto checkout as well… I haven’t seen one without. That said, it might just be me but I’ve gotten better results with absorbency and quality in the Walgreens ones in specific… anyone else to weigh in on this?

Re: Best store bought diaper?!?!

Actually “most” Walmarts do not have self-checkouts. A friend of mine who helps with the deployments was bitching about it the other night because only 29% of their stores worldwide have self-checkouts either through having them put in when the stores were built or because of them retrofitting them into existing stores. And for a sadder note, only 19% of the Supercenters in the US have them (the rest ring in at the embarrassing 23% combined for both primarily general merchandise and for neighborhood markets)

As for the store brands, there really shoudn’t be a difference between the Walmart and Walgreens ones as they’re manufactured by the same companies for both.

Re: Best store bought diaper?!?!

Pretty simple - shrinkage shot through the roof in every store they’ve tried to implement the self-checkout lanes.

Re: Best store bought diaper?!?!

That’s roughly as true as the “most” stores having self-checkouts bullshit. Loss happens at increased rate at stores that have one of two things going for them: Lazy employees and/or a bad camera layout.

IN fact the new stores are built in such way you literally can’t shoplift by cheating and going through the self-checkouts, except by doing the same damn things you could get away with if the self-checks weren’t there.

Re: Best store bought diaper?!?!

On topic, Attends, or CVS “fitted briefs” have decent Absorbency. If you double them, they do fine. Significantly better than depends.

Rite-Aid “Overnight Absorbency” adult pull ups are easily the best pull ups I’ve found, period. (Even counting premium) They swell enormously when wet. Good to use for a stuffer as well.

Depends are only good if you want crinkle.

CVS “adjustable underwear” have decent Absorbency for pull ups. But they just don’t have good leg cuffs, so I’ve found gaps in some areas. Worth noting, however, is the tapes. You can tighten these up snuggly, even though they’re just pull ups. Good for putting over other diapers so you can snug them up, without risking breaking the tapes.

I’ve found Dignity Plus at a medical supply store. But honestly, they weren’t really any better than Attends. They were plastic backed, unlike Attends cloth backed. So if you like crinkle…
