That aside, the fact that someone saying your name summons you to reply to it somehow makes you pretty much mimic the idea behind the phrase, “speak of the devil and he shall appear”. I’m a science-loving atheist and I still find the connection amusing as heck.
EDIT: But I fear that we’re derailing the original topic with this side discussion. Sorry to the mods if any are annoyed by this, I’ll at least try to stop for now.

Well, he did send me a link via PM to a page about a movie of that title. And a little digging did reveal that there is an ongoing debate about the spelling of the name of the antagonist, whose name has been spelled both as the title and as the star’s name… I can see the war over name spelling starting already in my head, with WBDaddy and you being the primary battlers. Curse my vivid imagination.
Oh crap, I kept the off-topic discussion going. I can’t help it, I’m urged to respond to things like this!

In all seriousness though, I think the only way for the thread to get back on topic now is for him to release another installment… or for a mod to crack down on us.
And I’m pretty sure all the off-topic replies, if combined, would equal about half the word count of the first chapter itself. So that’s pretty impressively bad.

Now, related on-topic post since this is no longer off topic from the original topic. The name thing happened because the script writers weren’t consistent in their usage, which led to some confusion for the prop guys and the marketing guys. You can actually see both spellings in the movie itself, and some of the early promo materials used the -geuse spelling. One of the days when I’m in Fort Smith I’ll try to remember to grab the poster I have in my storage unit there. It actually uses both spellings (The movie title uses the -juice version, the character name uses the -geuse spelling)

I may watch it if I get enough free time in the near future. I’m getting positive votes from literally everyone I talk to about this movie, both online and IRL, so I’ve got to admit I’m intrigued.
