I couldn’t bear to go deaf.

It’s especially awful to think that what’s deafened her is presumably the loud music at her live performances, suggesting to me that she’ll be performing until she entirely deafens herself.

People can still live a normal life. I have a hearing loss, and wear a hearing aid. I have one I wear all the time.

I don’t understand why it’s a shame to lose hearing, cause I live it every fucking day. Sorry, I get annoyed when people call a hearing loss a shame. Me, I look at it as another way of looking at the world.

I’ve lived with a hearing loss that has left me deaf in one ear my entire life. She’ll still be a musician.

It screws with your directional hearing: it can become like living life in mono.

As for tinnitus: doesn’t that mean she’ll have constant ringing?

Chris: just because you live through it, doesn’t mean it’s not a shame. It just means it’s unfortunate for you too.
